Russian Twists are a great core exercise when done properly. You can do this anywhere, all you need is a small weight. Give it a try and let us know how you like it.

1. Sit on a mat with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lift feet off the ground while pulling in your abs and rocking back through the hips, so there is a curve through your lower spine. Hold your hands in front of your chest, clasped together with elbows out to either side.

2. Twist your torso to the right side until the elbow taps the ground over a 1 second count. Then twist to the left over a 1 second count until the left elbow taps the ground. Keep switching from side-to-side.
