Unfortunately, they did not deliver on what they sold to me. I gave lots of chances and I'm feeling very disappointed.

After my first session with David, I immediately saw a difference in my posture and back pain. My muscles were less tense and I learned how to use them correctly for walking and standing. Most importantly, I was able to take a longer walk home, pain-free! I keep using his exercises regularly and it is making a huge difference. I used to take painkillers for back pain and headaches. Now, I can usually get away with exercising to make pain go away.David has a very friendly yet professional approach. He supports you when you need it and he is tough when he senses that you can push yourself further. His background knowledge of the different muscle groups and of how physical and mental health are connected is excellent.

Some people may think they are expensive compared to others. However, the value, knowledge, expertise and how they customize everything, especially your body and needs, is unmatched. What I observed over time is the cheap option. Well, let’s say you get what you pay for. If you value your time and quality service, you can’t go wrong with TurnFit personal trainers.

I loved that they showed me some pointers if I'm doing something wrong. I'm very proud that they take up the time to demonstrate the workouts. Definitely a recommended place.

Shivani has been able to help my 90 year old mother to overcome her knee and back pain by recommending specific exercises for her. She is very detailed and answers questions very patiently and clearly. She is also very personable, fun and friendly. I recommend her highly! We still see her for maintenance!

Excellent personal trainers!I was paired with Aditi and she has helped me move towards my goals with an ease i didn't think was possible. Everything is very detailed and precise.I also needed some rehab due to muscle imbalances and lower back problems. Suffice to say neither are an issue anymore.David's always been extremely helpful whenever i needed anything or had any questions. I'll be working with them for a very long time!

I’ve been seeing Aditi, and more recently, Marijana for the last four months. I’ve had an excellent experience and have seen great results in strength, conditioning and aesthetics.Marijana encourages me to push myself to my limit whilst ensuring my safety and well-being.Aditi has been fantastic at ensuring I have good form and has always made sure progression has been gradual to build a great base to see maximum results.

Incredible trainers who transformed my lifestyle. Although pricey, they offer comprehensive support and I prefer the one-on-one sessions where I personally connected with my trainer (Shivani) and she paid close attention to my form and details, which I really needed to be confidently working out by myself. She took my personal limits in range of motion into consideration and designed rehab + custom workouts around them. I love her focus on functional movements, since those help my daily life as a busy healthcare professional. I now look forward to going to the gym 5+ times a week and enjoy seeing my progress. My body shape has improved significantly and so did my posture and diet. Possibly the best investment I have made for myself in my entire life.

This a review for the owner of Turnfit, David Turnbull.I have known him for over 10 years. When I parted ways with my fitness coach (who gave me a lot of stress), I contacted David to help me out.It was just 3 weeks before the fitness competition, which was going to be the first time for me to enter.He kindly gave me 2 options.To save my costs, it’s not a good idea for me to bring him to the competition venue, but he can support me via video when I am at the backstage.The second option was to have my picture taken by a professional photographer so that I have the pictures forever!!He gave me the contact information for the photographer, and I emailed him. However, I could still not give up as I had devoted myself to enter the competition for the last 6 months.Then, I remembered that there is a female fitness instructor who I have read about her competition experience online in David’s Facebook friends. So, I contacted her saying I am a friend of David…and explained to her about my situation. She was also very helpful and kind, and introduced her coach to me immediately.Because of this new coach, I managed to compete in the competition! I can’t say thank you enough to all of them who helped me at the last minute!I believe that good people have good connections.Thank you, David. If I had not contacted you, I would have given up everything, and I would have been very sad. You are amazing!!

Aditi has been absolutely wonderful as my personal trainer.She is exceptionally knowledgeable of the muscle groups, knows how to target & exercise groups that need improving, and knows how to make sure you keep proper form while exercising them.She also responds very quickly whenever I have to reach out with questions while doing my workouts at home as well. 10/10!The facility has well kept equipment, is very clean, and has plenty of space for your exercise. I'm very glad I was able to find such a great trainer who goes above and beyond at every opportunity. Thanks Aditi!

Training is important for not only myhealth now, but I'm really big inprevention. I realized the things I'mdoing now, and the way I'm trainingnow will overall impact my health in thefuture. So by training, I'm not onlyhaving confidence in myself and how Ilook and how I'm feeling, but I'm alsodoing good for myself in the future.Before TurnFit I was very much so focused on my aesthetic goals. I still have aesthetic goals that I'm reaching with you guys. But now I'm really puttingmobility at the forefront of it and functionality. And by doing that, I've noticed I've actually gotten aestheticimprovements a lot faster than I have in the past. Before I put a lot of pressure on looks. But that ultimately led tome not feeling great in the gym, whether it be injuries or sore all the time or just not being motivated to even do things that are good for me activity-wise.Now, I'm just really excited that I'm feeling this confident and excited to get in the gym, be active and have that a part of my life. And this is when I'm busiest with work and social.So the fact that we also have everything at the same time has been really great. TurnFit's accountability for me isgreat. At times, there are things that I know I should be doing, whether it's for my health and mobility, but again,being busy, I just might put it off, but messaging you every day, it forces me to be like, No, you have 20 minutes, youcan get this done, you can send it in. It's also just nice, having a social community aspect of things too.

I couldn't recommend TurnFit highly enough. I was so impressed with David's extremely knowledgable background as well as his friendly approach. He really makes you feel motivated and ensures the right workouts are created for you. His app just helps keep you on target with friendly reminders and actions. Best personal training experience period!

David at Turnfit showed me some great stretches that helped fix a shoulder issue I've had for years after one short consultation he knew exactly what would help and even gave me a few tips to help with my posture all with in 15 minutes ! Totally worth taking some time out of your day to meet with him you won't regret it .

I was introduced to Turnfit by David Turnbull who at the time convinced me to come in for an introductory session with him and Turnfit. The first session was wonderful as David asked me all sorts of questions including what I was hoping to get out of my workouts with them. Nearing the close of the first session David told me that if I continued with them he would partner me with Ben one of his trainers. This is one of the biggest benefits of Turnfit, they have a trainer to match every type of person and personality. Instead of a trainer trying to take all clients for himself, David was more concerned with making sure my experience matched my personality. I couldn't be happier with his choice, Ben is a perfect match for me and watching some of the other Turnfit trainers I can see why he was such a good match for me but that one of the other trainers would be a better match for someone else. He explained why certain muscles may be stronger than others and showed me certain exercises to help me recover from an injury. I’d never met with a personal trainer until meeting with David, and while fitness can be an intimidating thing, David’s friendly demeanour and outlook really took the edge off. What I like about TurnFit is the knowledge the team has and how the idea is about alignment, fixing the small things to help with the big things, and doing what’s best for your body.I have a chronic back injury, pain in my right knee, and various other pains and David gave me tips about how to fix my posture, fix the way I’m walking, ways to stretch and relax my muscles in a way that helps these injuries and corrects my body and muscle alignment to prevent future injury.I would definitely recommend TurnFit if you’re looking for people who care about the building blocks of fitness and how to achieve your goals while treating your body well.

During my time at Turnfit, I had the privilege of having Kevin as my personal trainer. We would meet once a week to workout, and during our sessions, Kevin would advise me on everything fitness including nutrition, proper workout technique and form, and he would answer any questions I might have (and I asked a ton of questions). Different from other personal trainers, Kevin makes it a point to educate you on why you are doing an exercise and how it helps you become a better athlete. As a result of his approach, I never felt confused or unsure with what I was doing when working out on my own. Also, he was available to chat outside of our sessions if I ever needed anything so that's a plus. In short, his positive attitude and professionalism made working out an enjoyable experience, and I would recommend anyone wanting to get in shape to consider Kevin for their PT needs.

I found turnfit on facebook and followed their Instagram. I started to research and dig in deep to find out what exactly David was offering. After a few quick messages on Instagram we booked my first session.Not going to lie I was quite nervous as I am very out of shape at the moment. I was feeling very self conscious but I know I need help to get my body and mind back into shape.I met with David in Kitsilano at the gym where he trains out of. He is very kind and compassionate I knew this within our first 5 minutes of chatting. David clearly explained what the session consisted of and checked in to make sure I was comfortable and this was something that would work for me.He listened to my background story which I will post in the TurnFit Facebook Group for our members to get to know me better. He listened without judgment and shared his own struggles. I felt very comfortable and welcome at his gym.After we discussed everything David did a full 24 point muscle quality test checking for muscle imbalance. After that we moved to the gym floor and he showed me simple steps to correct my imbalances. He explained how to get to achieve goals my resetting my mind and body to healthy mode.The information was simple and I didn't feel overwhelmed. Deborah was extremely helpful and welcoming during my 3 months here; training with her made exercising not just a painful must-do, but something that could be fun and enjoyable. I could never imagined being excited for gym before having her as my trainer.

I started training with Kennedy at Turn Fit three months after hip surgery. I have been blown away with his attention to detail and focus on ensuring that I do things properly, as well as his incredible knowledge. I have trained regularly for over 20 years, but I feel that I have learnt more in the past couple of months about proper technique than I have over the rest of this time combined. It is amazing to have a trainer that is so focused on you and concerned with your personal goals. Highly recommend!

It's amazing how just modifying my posture slightly I'm able engage my glutes so much more effectively and this allows me to find proper engagement when performing all exercises.
